To create spaces where people can experience the love of God.
To evangelize the lost and encourage the found by restoring, refilling, and refining individuals on life’s journey through sharing the Word of God.
Iron Sharpens Iron was established in August 2020. Shirley Gordon, ministry leader, was called by the Lord to begin hosting the fellowship with family and friends on Zoom the First Friday in September 2020. This platform was built to create a space for others, to share life experiences and testimonies, and help people to overcome life challenges with the Word of God. These moments of fellowship help to build, uplift, and strengthen individuals on their life journey. To date, this fellowship continues to enrich, encourage, educate, and inspire others. In a non-traditional way, we connect and network with others via social media platforms sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Our future aspiration is to become a 501(c)(3), non-profit ministry growing in Christ together while sharpening others within communities near and far.
We are born-again believers in the Body of Christ and have been married for over 37 years. Our acceptance of Christ and walk of faith began during our teenage years. Since then, throughout the years, we have served as ambassadors of Christ using our spiritual gifts and talents on the journey of life. Our heart’s posture is to serve others with humility and love. It is an honor and privilege to accept the call to ‘go forth’ sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 28:19-20. We are change agents and messengers for the Kingdom of God.
Today, I accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior over my life.
Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins, believe in my heart and surrender my life unto you, the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead for me. I believe that Jesus came in the flesh and took on the sins of the world that I should not perish but have eternal life. Thank you Jesus for the free gift of Salvation on this day in Jesus' name I pray, Amen!
